Warrant of Fitness

Railside Auto ensures your car or trailer meets all current Warrant of Fitness (WOF) standards, helping you drive safely and legally on New Zealand roads.

All our WOF inspections are performed according to LTSA guidelines and usually take about 45 minutes. For new vehicles, the first WOF is completed at registration, followed by another at three years, then annually after that. Vehicles manufactured before 2000 require a WOF inspection every six months by a certified inspector.

In addition to WOF checks, we offer mechanical and electrical repairs for most West Auckland residents.

Our workshop is conveniently located for those in Henderson, Western Heights, McLaren Park, Sunnyvale, Glen Eden, and Oratia.

Maintaining a current WOF is essential. It certifies your vehicle’s roadworthiness at the time of inspection by checking vital safety systems such as brakes, lights, exhaust, suspension, steering, and seat belts.
